Glasswall builds for the future with a new identity shaped by our mission to protect files

At Glasswall, we focus on building technology that protects organisations from the risks hidden inside everyday files. As part of our innovation strategy, and with the security landscape continuing to evolve, the way we present ourselves needs to keep pace.

That’s why we’re introducing Glasswall’s refreshed visual identity: a clearer and more confident expression of who we are, what we do, and the direction we’re taking as we grow into a new phase of innovation and development.

“We wanted our identity to align more closely with our core file protection proposition,” said Paul Farrington, Glasswall’s Chief Product and Marketing Officer. “This was part of a wider process to update how the business presents itself to all our stakeholders and reflect the innovative work that goes on behind the scenes.”

On a practical level, a significant part of the case for change stemmed from the way the previous logo performed in real-world use, often lacking impact and hindering the brand's impact.

“From a design perspective, these are issues we had wanted to address for some time,” said Jake Bussell, Glasswall's Marketing Director. “As the company moved forward, it became clear that the identity needed to support a stronger and more confident position in the market.”

Based on an understanding of the role of typography, icon recognition and brand perception, the design process settled on an icon-led approach using layers inspired by Glasswall’s own process of validating and rebuilding files.

“When we looked at the evidence, the advantages were obvious,” said Bussell. “Icons, or logomarks are faster to recognize, easier to scale, and more memorable. That gave us a strong foundation for the concepts that followed.”

“The new identity needed to work for where the company is heading,” said Farrington. “It had to feel more aligned with the purpose that drives the organisation.”

Arriving at the final design was, as most companies discover, a detailed iterative process. “We were also energized by the leadership buy-in we received, which gave us huge confidence in our final choice,” said Bussell.

Putting people front and center

The new identity also created the perfect moment to showcase the people who bring Glasswall’s technologies to life. With the visual identity in place, the team turned its attention to creating a new video content series, giving audiences a clearer view of the work Glasswall does and the people who drive its success.

“Putting our team on screen was very important to us,” said Bussell. “We were also aware that, for a lot of companies, their public face begins and ends with the leadership, but we wanted to show the true depth of the organisation and give a clearer view of the professionals who bring our technologies to life.”

The narrative explains how threats inside everyday files are accelerating, particularly as AI drives the creation of new malware. It sets out the pressure this creates for organisations and reflects the commitment our people bring to protecting customers from these risks, showing why traditional detection continues to struggle as attackers release new variants faster than updates can keep pace.

“The video series reflects the commitment of the people behind the technology,” said Farrington. “It gives audiences a better view of the effort and expertise that shape our approach and the role file protection now plays for organisations that depend on secure workflows.”
