Glasswall’s CFO, Steve Roberts, has had a successful start to his 2023 racing season, as he leads the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB championship - Porsche’s official one-make series for its 425hp Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport race cars.
Steve has now completed the first 6 races of the 18-round championship, across two race weekends held at Donington Park and Snetterton. He has managed to score 2 race wins, and 4 other podium finishes, along with 3 fastest laps, to lead the championship by 9 points.
The championship runs exclusively as a support series to the British Touring Car Championship, meaning it enjoys live ITV4 coverage to audiences in the millions and track side attendance of over 300,000+ throughout the season.
Reflecting on the races so far, Steve said “We have had a solid start to the season. Redline Racing have provided me with a fantastic car, and by applying the same principles we do every day here at Glasswall, we are entirely focused on improving our performance even further. So far, so good, but we are striving to raise the bar again for the remainder of the season, with the season's ultimate target being the championship title”.
Steve races again on July 29/30 at Croft Circuit, the North Yorkshire-based venue, where once again his races will be live on ITV4.
